People tell you soft skills are important,

But never explain how to develop them.

8 techniques to master soft skills and fast-track your career - courtesy of César Solís:

1. Make People Feel Important (SHR Method) ↳ Make them feel seen, heard, and remembered

2. Hone your Body Language (7-38-55) ↳  Your body language matters more than you think. ↳ Stand straight, tuck shoulders back, eye contact, smile

3. The 4-Bullet Update ↳ Proactively update your supervisors ↳ What you asked, what I did, risks/ blockers, suggestions

4. Record and Study Your Speaking ↳ You will cut the "ums" and "likes" ↳ You'll improve your tonality

5. Ask Rapport Building Questions ↳ Ask questions that makes them think of good memories ↳ Any siblings/ kids? Any upcoming trips?

6. Send Friday Highlights ↳ Tasks completed from the previous week ↳ List your goals and upcoming activities for next week

7. Don't Complain or Gossip. Ever. ↳ Does this need an explanation?

8. Remember Names ↳ Remember the names of the people you talk to or meet ↳ Do the same for their loved ones or pets; you'll stand out.

Developing these soft skills will not only accelerate your career growth but also strengthen your relationships.

💬 Which soft skill are you aiming to improve?

PS: Soft skills are just that: skills. We all start somewhere, and with intentional practice, we get better.
