My old view of generosity:
-Saying yes to everyone and everything. -Sacrificing my well-being for others. -Dropping everything for others' needs.
My new view of generosity:
-Generosity isn’t about overextending myself. It’s about helping where my contributions can make a meaningful difference.
-True generosity doesn’t exhaust me—it energizes me. Everyone wins when I help others in a way that aligns with my strengths and interests.
-Generosity isn’t just about giving to takers—it’s about nurturing an environment where others are inspired to give too.
My previous view of generosity was limiting.
In the past, I believed that to be generous, I had to constantly give, even at the cost of my own well-being. I thought that saying no meant I wasn’t being helpful.
Now, I understand that true generosity isn’t about self-sacrifice. It’s about making thoughtful contributions where I can truly make a difference. It’s about giving in a way that fuels me, not depletes me. And it’s about inspiring others to give too, creating a cycle of positive impact.
Small shift in perspective, big impact on life.
